Golf tip – Body position in your golf swing:
Almost two-thirds of my students disconnect from their body during the golf swing takeaway. ‘Chicken winging’ is when the golfer takes the club away and flares out their right elbow, leaving a gap between the body and arm, as shown in the left image.

The correct position is to have the right elbow staying close to the body throughout the golf swing, shown in the right.

Golf tip #1: Golf swing with a towel
The first golf tip is to take a glove or small towel and place it under the moving arm’s armpit. Make sure the towel remains in position throughout the golf swing. The purpose of the golf tip is to keep the towel from falling when you turn back for the golf swing.

Golf tip #2: Use your bicep in the golf swing
The second golf tip is to take your stance and place your left hand on your right bicep, holding the bicep against the side of the body. Take a three-quarter golf swing first. It will feel strange, but as you get used to it, try to make more of a full golf swing.

Practicing these golf tips will help your golf swing remain consistent and hopefully improve your score.
