The topbirdies know that errors may occur when you less expect and therefore they train hard taking that in consideration. One way is to improve the swing making it consistent with all the irons and woods at any distance and hazard situations that may arise.
Keep your mind clear and focused all the time. "Golf is not a game of perfection" - Bob Rotella. The best golfers know it. Have fun!
Concentration exercise # 3 (based on the DeRose Method high-performance techniques):
During your daily workout or even tournaments, try listening to your breath and focus on the sound of it. There is a technique of meditation called ajapa japa. Associate the sound SO (pronounce themselves sso) to inspire and sound HAM to expire. Initially verbalize it, but after a couple minutes you can simply mute and listen to the sound that has always existed in your breathing. This exercise allows your mind to concentrate on your breathing and at the same time keep a slow pace.
We are now training the mind power to get used to concentrate and to be a tool in your advantage rather than being one more obstacle to add to those existing in the field.
Remember: everything demands a regular discipline of practice and patience with your body. This is golf and DeRose Method.
Tip: keep a diary of practice in which you write your advances and setbacks.
